Öttiäiset was a contemporary sci-fi insect documentary circus show created by Rasmus Witikka and me. Öttiäiset features insects inhabiting the post-human Earth. They have developed strange features that help them survive the hot climate and environment left behind with plastic junk from human times. The creation won the Pikku-itu creation idea incubator in 2020. It premiered in Dancetheater Hurjaruuth in Helsinki and was later also performed as part of culture path programs in Hämeenlinna and Vantaa. It had its final shows in Hyvinkää Studio Donner in October 2022 as part of a two-day nature-themed contemporary circus show together with Hedda Liukkalas Mitä meri. I also produced the event featuring these two contemporary circus shows.
